Position: Consultant

Duty Station: Mosul-Erbil

 

Project description:

Peace and Freedom Organization (PFO) work in this project to promote peacebuilding through Cultural Heritage in Mosul and Nineveh Plain

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Providing training

Providing training for 1-5 trainees in Erbil on cultural heritage in Nineveh, with a focus on how to use it as a tool for peacebuilding and enhancing community cohesion . The training includes preparing the necessary materials and interactive discussions

attending dialogue sessions

Attend three dialogue sessions on the cultural heritage of Nineveh. The team will be divided into three groups, each group will organize a dialogue session, and each session will deliver a report to you

Supervision and follow-up

How to formulate questions for sessions

How to write reports resulting from sessions

Preparing the final report

After the sessions are over and the reports are received, you will be responsible for writing a comprehensive report summarizing the findings and recommendations resulting from the three sessions. The report will address how cultural heritage in Nineveh can be used as a peacebuilding tool to address conflicts, such as the identity conflict in Nineveh and the demographic change resulting from the expansion of Mosul

 

Required Qualifications and Skills:

 

  1. To hold Bachelor's degree, higher is preferable in the fields of law, political science, sociology, or a peace diploma.
  2. Minimum two years as a consultant.
  3. High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English is a plus.
  5. Highly motivated.
  6. Familiarity with the local community and authorities.
  7. Computer literacy.
  8. Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  9. Strong organizational abilities.
  10. High professional ethics and confidentiality standards.
  11. Flexibility regarding working hours, including weekends.
  12. Women and youth have priority
