Job title: MHPSS Facilitator

Duty stations :Mosul

Project ref: Responding to critical mental health and protection needs of the crisis affected population in Ninewa Governorate, Iraq

Period of implementation: 11 Months

Deadline: 31Desember, 2018

  • Programs: He/she ensures proper support and managing and monitoring of MHPSS cases in the program. Falling under his/her responsibility, while observing International and World Vision International (WVI) standards.
  • Capacity-building: He/She participating actively in any MHPSS (mental health and psychosocial support) professionals workshops and trainings that will be held in the project period.
  • Reporting: He/she will responsible to submitting weekly and monthly reports to the coordinator of the project directly.
  • Logistics and Administration: He/She ensures compliance of activities falling under his/her responsibility with coordinator for logistical and administrative procedures.
  • Staff welfare: He / She ensures the implementation of the staff welfare program that is led by peace and freedom organization with the support of WVI.
  • Representation: He / She represent the association with partners, authorities and local actors involved in the implementation of MHPSS programs in Mosul.
  • Safety: He / She contributes to efforts aimed at ensuring compliance with safety rules at the site, and transmits all information relating to safety concerns to his/her immediate supervisor

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:

 

  • Psychosocial support cases who harmed and impacted by ISIL crisis, especially minorities.
  • Submitting awareness lectures about self-helping and psychosocial with mental health support.
  • Managing cases and referred cases to the legal and other services provider available
  • Doing field visits to stakeholders, institutions, NGOs, municipalities.
  • Doing any tasks which required urgently by organization.
  • Distributing brochures and pamphlets in the field through field visiting and mobile team.
  • Reporting timely to the project coordinator.

 

3.  Representation

·         Ensure maximum visibility of the agency amongst the UN and NGO community in Mosul.

·          Contribute to the positive image and overall credibility of the organization, notably through the application of the organization’s Code of Conduct

Qualifications:

·        
• Advanced degree in Social Work, sociology or experienced in this field

·         • At least  experience of one years in social working or civil society organizations work

·          

·         • Knowledge about minorities and diversities of Iraq.
• Relevant regional experience strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with standards and guidelines of minorities.

·         • Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently
• Extremely flexible, and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
• Team player and strong communication skills, both oral and written
• Good in computer applications, especially with MS Word and MS Excel, MS PowerPoint a plus.

·         • Arabic language are required, Kurdish and English are plus.

 

Travel

  • For Operational reasons must have the ability/authorisation to freely travel between Erbil and Neinawa.

Status of Job: 

Employed with Temporary-Term Contract.
