    Peace and Freedom Organization, in partnership with the Norwegian People’s Aid, organized a "Youth and Public Institution in Iraq and KRI" Roundtable in Erbil on 23 November 2025.

  • Organizing a Training Session on Countering AI-Generated Disinformation for a Group of Social Media Influencers
    With financial support of the U.S. Consulate General in Erbil, Peace and Freedom Organization-PFO successfully organized a training session on AI-generated disinformation. The training, which took place in Erbil on July 24–25, 2025, brought together 15 social media influencers, both male and female, from across the Kurdistan Region and Kirkuk.

    The Peace and Freedom Organization, in collaboration with the Norwegian People's organized a two-day training in Sulaymaniyah province.   • Return to Sinjar: The Yazidi Community’s Journey Home and the Challenges Ahead
    On January 23, 2024, the Council of Ministers of the Iraqi Government adopted a decision to close all internally displaced persons (hereafter referred to as IDP) camps in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (hereafter referred to as KRI) by July 31, 2024. According to the Government of Iraq (hereafter referred to as GoI), this decision is intended to encourage the safe and voluntary return of IDPs to their places of origin, as part of a broader policy to end displacement in Iraq, including the KRI.

    “Workers Rights and Freedom of Association” is a joint project run by PFOK and NPA in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. The project, which has an implementation period of four years, began in July 2016. A number of researchers from PFOK have conducted a study of the project between July and December of 2016. By using a mixed methods approach, this study tries to reveal the workers’ conditions and the freedom of association and unions in a legal and social framework.
